Raising awareness about violence, rights of children and gender issues via our monthly radio programs
As part of schools for peace project we continue to raise awareness and sensitize the communities through radio educational talk shows on the Jinja based Apex 103.5 FM radio with a listenership of five million people in Eastern Uganda. On the 4th and 25th of July 2018, our Project Manager (Edmond) and Educational Manager (Henry) spoke about how parents can help build self-esteem and self confidence in their children and improving communication at family level. The feedback from listeners was impressive and indicates more need to raise awareness on issues violence and rights of children.
